What is intelligent Print Recognition?
The iPR Creator App allows registered users to make printed items interactive. It uses the iPhone/iPad's camera to send a low resolution copy of the print to the intelligent Print Recognition server in the cloud where it is 'indexed'. This means that attributes of the image such as shape and contours and the resulting image matching algorithm are given a unique ID.
Once in the database, the image, page, voucher or card that was made interactive can then be 'scanned' by pressing the 'Scan' button in the App or by an iPR enabled 'Reader' App such as Documobi. When scanned, an image of the print is sent to the database where it looks for a match.
If successful, the user will be asked to navigate to the URL that was input as the destination point of this image.
