Application Description
iPig is a pig sampling mobile application by BPEX. It allows vets, farmers and producers to carry out Real welfare and PHIP (Pig Health Improvement Project) surveys on the pigs they manage out in the field saving them time and money. Real Welfare is an industry-led project funded by BPEX to help pig producers demonstrate pig welfare and boost productivity, using ‘welfare outcomes’ or ‘animal-based’ measures. Pig Health Improvement Project (PHIP) is a revolutionary initiative by BPEX with one simple goal, to improve the overall health status of England’s pig herd. The PHIP focuses on collaboration between producers, vets and the allied industry and the collective use of the PHIP’s five FREE benefits.
