The 23rd International Poster Biennale Office accepted 2165 works (among them 1727 professionals’ posters and 360 works of debutants and 78 posters in special category Euro 2012), sent by 915 artists from 49 countries.
The idea to organize periodic reviews of the international poster art was first proposed by Polish graphic designers in the beginning of sixties. International Poster Biennale is endorsed by the International Council of Graphic Design Association Icograda, which funds an Excellence Biennale Award. Since 1994, the Poster Museum at Wilanów in Warsaw has been a regular base of Biennale and competitive exhibition.
