From 3-11 October 2013 the Royal Australian Navy will be commemorating the centenary of its first fleet entering Sydney Harbour with an International Fleet Review (IFR). The IFR is a high profile international event and the Royal Australian Navy's signature commemorative event for 2013. At the invitation of the Chief of Navy (CN) - Vice Admiral Ray Griggs, AO, CSC, RAN, over 40 warships, 17 Tall ships and 8000 navy personnel from 20 nations will be coming to Sydney for the IFR. There are many activities and events happening across the nine days of IFR, including a symbolic seven ship representation of the original fleet entry with current RAN warships.
