Application Description
Stop 'guessing your dose', get personal dose-suggestions that are based on your data with the ControlWizard app.
Twenty-six predefined food-buttons make carbohydrate tracking easy.
Enter your glucose, carb, exercise and insulin data on the spot, or add them later at your convenience (also for previous days). ControlWizard-2 is a great diabetes diary.
Calculates Carb/Insulin ratios at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Gives insulin dose suggestions based on the data you entered (instead of using general algorithms), by looking for similar previous situations in your database that resulted in good glucose levels.
Flexible data entry: if you e.g. have a late breakfast (weekends) simply tap the time slot label, and adapt the time slot.

Accepts glucose concentrations in mg/dl and mmol/l.
The insulin dose-suggestion is personal: it is based on your own data: ControlWizard builds a database of your glucose, food, activity and insulin dose data, and uses that to calculate a personal dose-suggestion.
During the first weeks of use, the app will build your glucose-insulin interaction database. As soon as sufficient data have been collected, you will start getting insulin dose-suggestions.
Dose suggestions are calculated by searching for days with similar glucose, carbohydrate and activity levels as today AND similar glucose levels in the previous 2 hours, that resulted in good glucose levels 2 hours later. The more data you enter, the better your dose-suggestions will become. Only the insulin doses that resulted in good glucose values are used for the calculation of a dose suggestion.
Often, a dose-suggestion can be calculated without the need to measure your blood glucose level. In such cases the software will use your Carb/Insulin-ratio (automatically calculated in real-time).
The C/I-ratio will follow seasonal changes in insulin sensitivity (if they occur).
With every dose-suggestion, clear on-screen information is provided about the dose-suggestion and how it was calculated or how reliable it is. Read this information carefully to understand the reliability and applicability of any dose-suggestion in specific situations. Circumstances (e.g. stress, illness, traveling) may require your manual correction of the dose-suggestion.
