Application Description
This app is designed as an easy-to-use decision aid to help patients with type 2 diabetes make an informed decision about whether to start insulin. It provides you with information on type 2 diabetes, insulin, treatment options and the risks and benefits of each option. It guides you to consider what is personally important to you before making a decision.
This app is not intended to replace a consultation with your healthcare professional. Rather, it will help you discuss the decision about whether to start insulin with them so that you can make a shared decision together.
This app was developed as part of the Decision Making in Insulin Therapy Project (DMIT) at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. We can be contacted at dmitproject@um.edu.my.
