Application Description
iFoscarini is the new App dedicated to the world of creativity that confirms Focarini’s presence in the research sector with a product that has a fun aspect but which is dedicated to innovation and experimenting with new media tools.
The project, called DO YOU LIGHT? lets users place Foscarini lamps in the environments they create (by taking live pictures) or using the photo archive already on their iPhone.
The product has sophisticated functions in two menu areas:
1. Above, the > LAMPS area lets you choose from 20 types of lamp divided into four sections: suspension, floor, table and wall.
First you have to take a photo or choose a picture and then you can select and move your favourite lamp to any part of the screen with one finger, make it larger or smaller with two fingers, and turn it 360° to reposition it wherever you have decided.
2. Below, the > MENU’ area accesses all basic functions: taking live photos, choosing a picture already in the archive, deleting, saving it or viewing the result and sending it to a friend.
This Foscarini app aims to be an ideas workshop to create, imagine and suggest Foscarini lamps in different contexts and allows the end user to have a concrete image of the product within the setting chosen.
The VIDEO icon on the tab bar accesses a list of videos linked to the You Tube playlist of Foscarini’s archive.
Coming updates include optimisation for the iPad, which will allow you to view photos of settings more clearly, and a DO YOU LIGHT? competition for designers, professionals and all those who are interested.
iFoscarini is available in English and is compatible with the iPhone and iPod Touch.
