The iFishWatcher: Here is a place where you can create your personal catch diary on your iPhone and you can choose to upload your observations about fishes to FishBase. ("FishBase: all what you ever wanted to know about fish, www.fishbase.org ). The iFishWatcher is the mobile version of the FishWatcher for your iPhone.
FishBase is the most comprehensive global information system about finfish. Here you will find an answer for any question you have about fish. FishBase provides information and pictures for more than 31,000 species, many of them target species for diver and angler. A sustainable information system like Fishbase requires the support of many volunteers and FishBase needs also your observation! Please consider improving our knowledge about fish stocks worldwide!

The iFishWatcher allows you to create and to store catch records on your iPhone and subsequently to upload these observations to the FishWatcher in FishBase ( http://www.fishbase.us/FishWatcher/Menu.php). When you decided to provide your observations to FishBase, all data will be anonymously used e.g. to create distribution maps and will assist in monitoring trends in fish biodiversity.
