Ever wonder what you would look like if you travelled 768, 800 km in fewer than 3 seconds, were twisted, distorted and frozen before being struck by lightning and slamming into the moon at the speed of light?

Well we did so we wrote an App to do it, using i Infinitum you can simply select a photo from your phone and upload it where it will be transmitted into space and bounced off the moon.

It's an extreme journey, to say the least, and your photo will not make it back unscathed, parts of it might not make it back at all. i Infinitum takes photo transformation to a whole new level.

It’s pretty cool and a fun way to share your photos with friends, family and the universe.

Once it’s transmitted from Earth your photo will travel through the atmosphere, hopefully without bouncing off a plane, be bent, distorted and frozen as it makes its way through the mesosphere where the temperature will drop to -100 degrees celsius. It might be hit by lightning as it enters the thermosphere and will zip past the International space station at a height of 350km before finally escaping the last remains of the Earth’s atmosphere at a distance of about 800km.

Once in outer space it will be beaten up by solar wind and radiation before bouncing of the surface of the moon and then go through the whole ordeal again during the return trip home.

Travelling at the speed of light, your photo will take less than 3 seconds to make the 768,800 km return trip to the moon.

It’s an extreme journey, to say the least, and your photo will not make it back unscathed, parts of it might not make it back at all and those parts will continue to bounce around the universe probably slamming into asteroids, maybe even the sun or possibly a star, but don’t worry it would take around four years to cover the distance to the nearest one.

There’s a bit more to it than that and all the technical detail and some samples are on our website which is linked below.
