Application Description
Distance and direction. The most basic information you need to answer the question, "How do I get there?". Sometimes you simply want to know how far your destination is and in which direction. That's the job of Hone In. Simple interface; basic information. You choose the destination, and Hone In shows a map with your current location, the remaining distance in bold type, and a large arrow pointing in the direction you need to go.

◆ Choose your Hone In destination using either a map, a text search, or your current location.
◆ Easily zoom in on your current location, your Hone In destination, or both.
◆ In rotation mode the app uses your device's compass to dynamically point the real direction to your Hone In destination.
◆ Pan, zoom, and rotate a map displayed in Standard, Hybrid, or Satellite modes.
◆ Distance in either Imperial or Metric units.
◆ Save your last destination to use on next application startup.
Typical Use (on a hypothetical Hawaiian vacation):
◆ You park your car on a street in Honolulu, somewhere in Waikiki. Fire up Hone In and choose My Location. When you're done shopping and dining, let Hone In guide you back to your car.
◆ You leave Waikiki to see a bit of local Hawai'i. Arriving in Kailua, you want to get to the beach. Fire up Hone In, search for Kailua Beach Park, and you're off to sun and sand. When you've baked in the sun for a bit too long, fire up Hone In to find your way to some local shave ice.
◆ You rent a kayak for that "you just have to do" experience of jumping from the cliffs into Shark's Cove on the back side of Mokulua Nui, an island off beautiful Lanikai Beach. But how far do you have to paddle? Let Hone In tell you. But be care, you may want to go around the shallow parts of the reef! Using the satellite map, you can see where you are and avoid getting wet when you really don't want to. Of course, you did remember the waterproof iPhone case, right?
◆ Back at the hotel, you'd like an evening stroll to savor a warm Hawaiian night. Before leaving the lobby, fire up Hone In and chose My Location. Now you can wander at will in the comfort of knowing, at any time, how far and in which direction the hotel is.
