Application Description
You love to be outdoors, and exploring nature by hiking fantastic trails - now you can track your hike with your iPhone and sync with iCloud automatically to your iPad, and share with facebook, twitter, email. Includes a full altitude profile for mountain hikes!
Just take your iPhone or iPad, and switch on tracking mode. The app will
* record your hike and show it on a map, including an altitude profile
* sync automatically to your iPad and other devices through iCloud
* stop tracking automatically when you arrive back to your starting point
* show distance, duration and height statistics for each walk
* allow you to name each hike individually and take notes
* provide sharing of each hike via facebook, twitter, weibo, email, print and copy
The app is fully localised in English, French, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Japanese and Chinese (simple. and trad.). In the app settings you can toggle forth and back from metric to miles for the display of distances.
Backup / restore functionality: Save your hike data to a file, and access it on your Mac / PC through iTunes file sharing. You can restore your data at any time to any your devices.
The app uses GPS to record the hiking trail outdoors. Please be aware that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. This app protects your battery life by automatically switching GPS off at the end of the hike, and limiting the overall tracking time (configurable in settings) .
