High Kings brings to the iPhone the world's original board game, Tafl, with gorgeous retina graphics and a powerful AI to match.

The Tafl family of games were spread by the Vikings across much of Northern Europe. The game is played on various sizes of checkered board, and is distinctive in that the attacking force outnumbers the defender by a 2:1 ratio. The attacker's objective is to capture the defender's king, while the defender wins by escaping his king to the safety of the board's corners or edges, depending on the game variant in play. Full rules are included within the game.
