Opened in 1994, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Charleston is a 49-bed post-acute care hospital specializing in physical rehabilitation of patients who have suffered a traumatic injury or illness such as Stroke and Spasticity, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputation, Hip Fractures, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, or Rheumatoid Arthritis.
At HealthSouth of Charleston our goal is to help rehabilitate people to their highest level of recovery in the shortest amount of time possible. HealthSouth offers both inpatient rehabilitation for those who are not ready to return to the community, as well as outpatient rehabilitation for those who need to improve upon their quality of life with scheduled care and instruction. HealthSouth is accredited by The Joint Commission.
