Application Description
Ground Control makes it easy to ask friends, family or anyone at all to meet you at, or pick you up from your current location.
With seamless integration to Facebook, you can login immediately to start using Ground Control or sign up one with a few steps.
With the click of a button "Ground Control" takes a photo of any landmark or just yourself using front or rear camera and combines it with your current location and a message then sends it to whomever you are asking to meet you through.
You can choose to send message vis SMS, email or post on Facebook for a notification that you want to be picked up.
Your previous locations are saved on your device so you can easily return or invite others to meet you at your favourite place.
The recipient can view the request in Ground Control to enjoy all the features or opening it web browser for basic viewing. The photo, location and a message are conveniently displayed on a map.
When viewed in Ground Control:
- Your picture, location and message are located on a map
- You can exchange messages instantly about your progress (that does not require SMS)
- Your location can be sent directly to the Maps App to provide travel instructions.
The data stored in server including photo, message and location will remain available for 48 hours. After that, you can still conveniently find it on your local device.
