This App can save your life. GPS2SOS is a convenient and reliable App designed to alert friends and relatives in case of an emergency.
With a single tap in the face of danger, or at a previously scheduled time, this App sends instant distress signals to your preferred contacts by email, text message, or through your Twitter account and Facebook wall.
Distress messages include Maps links pointing to your exact location, helping recipients locate you and take appropriate action.
GPS2SOS is the only application on the App Store that can leverage the power of your social network to react to emergencies.
New feature: the Countdown feature allows you to schedule alerts prior to engaging in risky activities such as rock climbing, diving, etc. Failing any action from you in the selected timeframe, your iPhone will automatically notify your preferred contacts of your distress and location.
While sending text messages requires a small fee via in-App purchase, all other features are provided free of charge.
