This is a simple GPS receiver type app with the ability to:
-see your current lat/long/altitude in a few different formats
-record waypoints
-view them on a map (when internet is available)
-email them in table form, csv (for spreadsheets) or kml (for viewing in Google Maps)
-kml shows direction as an arrow on the exported map and pop up full description
-alternatively, download via itunes file sharing
-or access them later at home from a built in webserver (over wifi only)
-adjust settings like accuracy to improve power
-works on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch (iPad wifi and iPod touch will have limited accuracy, based on wifi location finding, not recommended for professional data gathering on those platforms)
-see speed (where available, usually only iPhones and 3G iPads)
Great for simple hiking or more serious data collection.
