Application Description
Who should buy ?
In this fast paced world things can happen in a blink of an eye. We cannot control the environment that we live in nor the situation we may find ourselves in. Sudden and unexpected situations can generate panic and trying to find a right contact may take away from you those precious moments that you may or may not have.
Crime and emergency are a common happening in big cities. When such situations happen to anyone, the instinctive response is to reach out to one’s family and friends and seek help. In a panic situation, you may fumble to contact your family or friend. What if they do not answer the phone? Wasting time trying to inform or reach someone could rob you of precious time you may or may not have. goSafe allows you to connect you to 10 contacts and continuously update them of your exact location and address
Example:
Woman that commute and use public transportation are especially vulnerable to kidnapping and other forms of abuse. By using goSafe app, Alert messages are sent at regular intervals to the Contacts (friends, relatives, co-workers etc) based on your choice.
These Alert messages contain your current location and address as you commute. Selecting "Auto Responder" from goSafe allows you to customized your message and time interval (to send alert messages) to your Contacts.
A URL (Web Link) that points to your location on the Map is also delivered as a part of the Alert message. This helps the Contact to visually identify your location on the Map and get a reference of where you are.
Help Me is a special use case of goSafe that lets your contacts know that you need help, the alerts (in form of emails) are sent out automatically every 5 min.
goSafe provides a convenient non-intrusive way of letting your contacts know where you and know where to find you in case you need help.
Being better prepared by keeping your loved ones and contacts informed and updated of your location, makes the difference, in making a situation from going bad to worst!
How goSafe Works?
The Alert Messages in form of emails and SMS can be sent. For convenience emails are sent automatically, but SMS has to be sent manually. For user convenience goSafe application will pre-populate the SMS message with correct location(real time), address and list of Contacts (based on your selection criteria) to who the SMS needs to be sent. The user just has to select the "send" button to send the SMS.
goSafe will NOT stop sending alert messages even when the device goes in power saving mode (but not Powered OFF). Till you chose to stop the feature from the app screen.
The other features of goSafe-->
All Is Well - This feature is used when you want to let your Contacts know that you are Safe and Well at your current location. Two Alert messages are sent in this mode. The first message provides your current location and second provides your last known location . The second message is a back up just in case there is a problem determining your current location.
Where Am I: This feature helps you to locate where you are. You can get an address of the location or plot your location on the map.
For example - Suppose you are travelling/commuting and are in a new location (place, city, state or country). You can select ‘Display Address’ to know the street level address of your current location. Or you can select “Display Map’ to display you current location on the map for visual reference.
