Glimmers is a narrative treasure hunt that takes place around central Brighton UK.

Ask yourself: when was the last time you left a phone message that never arrived? Where do all these messages go? Did you imagine they are lost in the ether forever? … What if they aren’t, what if they could be found, across time, by passers by, in the areas they were sent from?

It is increasingly severe solar electric storms that cause electromagnetic disruption to the space-time continuum. Peaking in ten-year cycles these storms cause future messages to be lost across time bridges and appear now, ever so briefly in the areas they were sent from, through the mobile devices of the present day. The Glimmers app works as a conduit for your iPhone, tapping into these telecommunication anomalies, crossing your phone line with a device in the future, intercepting their lost messages.

This storytelling event can be experienced at any time by participants and will take approximately 1 hour. You will need a full battery charge and a set of headphones.
