German Nouns is an application to help you learn German Nouns, their associated gender (Der, Die or Das?) and their associated plural forms.
In iOS7 it will read the words out in German and your local Siri voice (sorry, this is not supported by iOS6). Hear your problem words and genders read out as you relax at home or travel on your commute.
It also has features to assist you in learning some of the complexities of the Nominative, Accusative, Dative* and Genitive* cases, definite and indefinite* articles and adjective endings (*not supported in the free version).
The App uses Flashcards, a 'Pairs' game and multiple choice tests to help you memorise the Nouns.
For multiple choice tests the App doesn't just pick random words but carefully chooses words that look or sound similar and even words that you have mistaken in the past so that you learn from your errors.
The App keeps track of the words that you know well and those that are causing problems, so that you can focus your learning where it is needed. You can also 'flag' words for special attention.
This is the full version of the App. There is also a free version (search for German Nouns Free) that will do everything that the full app does except allow you to edit the list of Nouns and some cases and articles - try before you buy!
In this full version of the App you can add, modify and delete nouns to build your own database of words from a dictionary or from your German course notes.
