The Geopark Shetland App allows users to discover more about the diverse and dramatic
Earth heritage of the Shetland Isles.
The app allows you to discover over 60 sites of geological and heritage interest throughout the archipelago, with detailed information and beautiful images to support each one.
Each site comes with directions to enable you to explore these fascinating geological features for yourself, with GPS triggered notifications letting you know when you’ve reached the right spot.
The app also contains three themed walking trails, as well as an augmented reality feature that allows you to ‘interact’ with the stunning Shetland landscape by viewing it through your device’s camera.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
