Summary
The Genomics Advisor application represents the first mobile (iPad) app that integrates clinical and genomic information to create a Patient-Centric Health and Genomics Record (PCHGR). The app developed by the Biomedical Cybernetics Laboratory at Harvard Medical School (bcl.med.harvard.edu). It allows physicians, patients, and consumers to view genetic information and relative disease risks through Genomics Advisor. This release focuses on diabetes and co-morbidities. Patients can bring their smart devices to the clinician and present their genetic information, giving doctors a possible advantage to understand their patients better and for patients to gain control of their own genetic information.
