The formula to measure the cycle time required to hob a gear in two passes has been common knowledge to the machining community for quite some time. Solving it so quickly, however, has never been this easy! If you are in the gear business, you know this formula, and for the first time it's available for the iOS platform. Take the guess work out of your calculations and get it right the first time.

This version is built from scratch and optimized for the iPhone. It performs the calculation in the same way as our iPad version, and the core code is the same, but the layout is more iPhone friendly. As a user I do not enjoy running apps on my iPhone that are not optimized for the device, so I made the choice as a developer to code separate versions for each device. I hope you will enjoy my effort!

An iPad version of this app is also available. I am proud to be the first developer to bring this powerful tool into production.
