Fractal Editor allows the creation of beautiful fractals.
Begin by placing a few rectangles on the canvas, resizing, moving, rotating or shearing the rectangles, and then apply iterated transformations successively from two to eight iterations to create the factual. The Fractal Editor can be used to amuse and entertain by creating beautiful images, and it can be used as an educational tool for studying iterated function systems and linear algebra.
Fractal Editor was first developed by Rob Burkhead (F&M '09) under the supervision of Profs. A. Crannell and J. Anderson, and revised (2014) by J. Anderson; the iOS version was developed by Michael Dejori (Free University of Bolzano, Italy) and an exchange student at F&M, fall, 2008.
