Application Description
ExpireTrack helps you to track the expiration date of many things in our daily life, like food, medicine, cosmetics, warranty, insurance, license, passport, visa, coupon, membership, subscription, etc. It can be used together with Google Calendar, which will notify you by e-mail before the expiration date based on your setting.
The major input for ExpireTrack is the picture of a tracking item. The picture can be input by iPhone camera or from iPhone or iPod Touch photo library. Though ExpireTrack has given you some default categories, you can change them and create whatever suitable to your demand.
Though ExpireTrack does integrate with Google Calendar, it depends on users to apply Google Calendar or not. Therefore, it's not necessary that you must have Google account to use ExpireTrack. You can enter the tracking items' data and their expiration date into iPhone or iPod Touch without Google account, and track their expiration date by ExpireTrack report. ExpireTrack lets you set the report filtering condition, for example, list of those which are and will be expired within four weeks. The number of the items which will be expired within the time you set will be shown on the ExpireTrack application icon when you run ExpireTrack. So you will have the idea that how many items and which items that you'd better hurry to process.
If you choose to use Google Calendar together with ExpireTrack, after sync ExpireTrack on iPhone/iPod Touch, you can have each ExpireTrack item as one event of Google Calendar. Then the Google Calendar will automatically send an warning e-mail to you before the expiration date based on your setting on ExpireTrack. In consideration of that 3G or WIFI are not always available for users, ExpireTrack allows users to enter data of the tracking items, and sync data to Google Calendar latter when network is available.
