Evolution Images generates images build up by only polygons. An evolutionary alghorithm is used to generate new generations of images, where only the images that best matches your source image is kept.

Half of the proceeding from Evolution Images is donated to The Brights - a movement working to promote the civic understanding and acknowledgment of the naturalistic worldview, which is free of supernatural and mystical elements.

The generated images can be used as cool avatar images for Twitter, Facebook, or other social services. Evolution Images has been used to generate it's own icon and start screen. There are many uses for the stylish art-form of evolutionary generated images.

The algorithm uses a pool of two individuals. In each generation slight mutations are added to the individual with best fitness. Color, number of polygons, and number of points per polygon can be mutated. The individuals fitness is calculated by the resemblance to your target image.

Evolution works slowly, and so do Evolotion Images. Generating a good image will take thousands upon thousands of generations.
