Experience the micro-location with Estimote Virtual Beacon. Turn one of your iOS devices into a Blueooth® Smart (BLE) beacon and use second device to run several amazing proximity demos.
With this app you will learn more about Blueooth Low Energy beacons' range and indoor-location accuracy.
You could demo contextual messages that appear depending on how far from the beacon you are.
It is also possible to setup virtual beacon in order to trigger micro-location based notifications even with the locked phone in the pocket.
Please note the Estimote Virtual Beacon app requires at least two Bluetooth 4.0-compatible devices, (e.g. Apple iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad (3rd gen & 4th gen), iPad Mini.
