Application Description
Off-line encyclopedia of fighter aircraft. You will not only learn basic facts of each airplane, their dimensions and performance data. You will get comparison of competiting models. Besides you can check charts with aircraft ordered by dimensions, thrust, number of built items and many others. Each aircraft is depicted with several photos.
You will learn this information: Country of origin, manufacturer, year of the first flight, year of the end of production, how many items were built, average price, wingspan, wingspan in spread shape for planes with variable wing geometry, wing area, overall length, tail height, typical operating empty weight, maximum take-off weight, maximum speed, internal fuel capacity, service ceiling, number of engines, dry thrust per one engine, thrust per engine with afterburner.
More information are coming in the next versions, e.g. typical armament.
Unfortunately, much information is classified so many entries are missing or only estimated.
Currently the following aircraft are included BUT MORE ONES ARE TO BE INCLUDED SOON: American Grumman F-14 Tomcat, McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon, McDonnell Douglas F/A 18 Hornet and F/A-18 Super Hornet, Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II and F-117 Nighthawk. For other countries, you will find German Eurofighter Typhoon, French Dassault Mirage 2000 and Rafale, Japanese Mitsubishi F-2, Swedish Saab JAS-39 Gripen, Russian Mikoyan MiG-21 and MiG-29 and Sukhoi Su-24 and Su-27, and HOT NEW Russian Sukhoi T-50 and Chinese Chengdu J-20.
Little bit off-topic but still interesting, Lockheed Martin SR-71 Blackbird and Grumman B-2 Spirit are also included.
App shows airplanes' specification in either IMPERIAL or METRIC units or BOTH, according to your preferences (your system settings is default, alternatively you can switch it on the Info page).
