Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev (8 February 1834 -2 February 1907) was a Russian chemist and inventor. He created the first version of the periodic table of elements, and used it to predict the properties of elements yet to be discovered. Many of his predictions hold true and the scientists find it very useful to describe the characteristics of chemical elements.
Mendeleev's periodic table is de-facto standard to know chemical elements and their characteristics.
Chemical elements have amazing facts about their discoveries. Here are milestones of chemical evolution.
Antiquity to middle Ages (13 elements): unrecorded discoveries up into the Middle Ages
Middle Ages – 1800 (21 elements): discoveries during the age of enlightenment
1800–1849 (24 elements): scientific and industrial revolutions
1850–1899 (26 elements): the age of classifying elements; application of spectrum analysis techniques: Boisbaudran, Bunsen, Crookes, Kirchhoff, and others "hunting emission line signatures"
1900–1949 (13 elements): development of old quantum theory and quantum mechanics
1950–1999 (16 elements): post Manhattan project; synthesis of atomic numbers 98 and above (colliders, bombardment techniques)
Since 2000 (5 elements): recent synthesis
Chemistry students find it very difficult to memorize periodic table though it has immense importance in their daily learning routines.
We come up with Periodic table that can be kept in your pocket and you can refer it any time.
