Application Description
EFORT works on behalf of the European orthopaedic and traumatology community to restore and secure mobility,
musculoskeletal health and quality of life. To achieve its mission and vision, EFORT organises an annual congress,
a comprehensive advanced training programme (the ATP), and is present at major European conferences.
It also issues a series of scientific publications, including the “European Orthopaedics and Traumatology” (EOTR) journal, book series and IL (Instructional Lecture) books.
EFORT is staging the 14th EFORT Congress in London from 4 to 6 June 2014. It is the most important scientific event at European level for orthopaedists and trauma surgeons. This year, the event will focus on the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020 launched by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the European Year for Active Ageing. Other highlights will include speeches by two pioneers in the field, as well as a new discussion format featuring debates wherein acknowledged experts defend controversial points of view.
