DrivingData App automatically tracks your driving statistics: total travel time, total time stopped (idle time), maximum idle time, average speed and maximum speed. Detailed driving stats are recorded on regular intervals during the duration of you trip and are plotted on a map. Average speed, distance traveled, time stopped and elapsed time are recorded for each interval.

DrivingData runs in the background and will automatically start running once you leave a geo fenced location. Upon reaching your destination the application will stop tracking your location after you have remained idle for 15 minutes (modifiable in settings). The application will create a new geo fence around this last location.

Notice: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

To save on battery life there is an options on the settings page within the application to turn off background updates.
