Application Description
Dooss enables you to control and monitor your home automation systems from iPhone or iPod Touch
The application can control/monitor Lighting, Motor, HVAC, Audio/Video, Security, and Access Control Systems
The application supports up to 255 rooms, each can have any of the above mentioned systems
Control/monitor features:
- Scene control is available to set your home automation system to the mode you want, scenes can affect only one system, or it can affect more than one system, in one or many rooms in the house
- HVAC control features power, cool point, heat point, and fan speed control
- Audio/Video systems can be controlled via selecting A/V source, controlling the AV zone and selected remote source, each source can have different type of control(s), by selecting source, the controls will be changed depending on the source.
- Security System can be armed and disarmed, with a configurable password,
- Access doors can be controlled and you can check the state of doors from the application
- User will have full control/monitor capabilities over the Home Automation systems
- The application can be used with any Home Automation system
- Real-time feedback is available in the application, even if the changes in the Home Automation systems were made from any other control device
- The application can control Home Automation systems either from inside the house (through Local Network) or from outside the house (though Internet/3G)
What are the needed equipments
- An existing Home Automation system
- If not available, an automation controller from AMX to communicate with the iPhone via WiFi, the program installed on the AMX controller is customized to meet the automation systems control features/requirements
- An existing WiFi Network
User Interface Configuration
- No computer is required to configure the user interface
- The user interface can be built with almost no effort, since the application include a preconfigured control for all control features
- The system integrator can easily set the user interface in a series of options to select, for example in order to add a lighting circuit you will only need to set its name and specifying whether it will be a switching or dimming circuit, and the application will handle the rest of use interface configuration
- Room can be arranged as the user prefers
- Configuration view is accessible via password, to not let anyone alter the application interface
- User interface can be backed-up and restored using and Windows-based application (available on our website), which will make UI cloning easier than you think
- The communication protocol is SNAPI compatible, which make the programming of the AMX controller an easy process
The application also includes a Demo Mode for feature demonstration; in this mode no home automation system(s) is required, but an automation controller is required to accomplish the communication with the iPhone, the need of that is to demonstrate also the easiness of the AMX programming part
