The Mayan Long Count was started on or around August 3,114 BC or 13 bak'tuns, 0 k'atun, 0 tun, 0 winal, 0 k'in or 13.0.0.0.0.  The cycle is going to return to 13.0.0.0.0 (or end) on December 21, 2012.

1 K'in = 1 Day
1 Winal = 20 K'ins (20 Days)
1 Tun = 18 Winals (360 Days)
1 K'atun = 20 Tuns (7,200 Days)
1 Bak'tun = 20 K'atuns (144,000 Days)

So the end of the world as we know it (I feel fine) is coming.....
