Application Description
Dojo-Go HD is a simple and elegant app that helps you find Aikido dojos all around the world.
You can view the location of the dojos on a map, get directions, get further information about each dojo, and submit dojos to our database. Each dojo is listed along with its address, phone number, style/affiliation, and chief instructors.
In Map View, it's fun and inspiring to quickly see where dojos are located all around the world. Dojo-go uses the most familiar map interface to help you quickly explore the globe in search of Aikido dojos worldwide. We are constantly adding new dojos to the database, and you don't need to update the app to see them. You can also submit a dojo through the convenient form within the app.
You can use the search page to search for dojos in a particular country, state, or city, and there's a text search box that allows you to search by any term in the database. You can enter an instructor's name, a country, a style, or anything else that might help you find the dojo you're looking for.
In list view, you can see the results of your search in a list, or if you've left the default search options to "all" you can scroll through a list of all the dojos in our database.
You can view more information about any dojo by clicking the "more info" button in list view, which will take you to the dojo's website, or via the "click for details" button on the map details page.
You can also get directions to or from a dojo, add the dojo's address to your address book, or share the dojo's location via email or text message.
This is our first release, and we have many more features planned for upcoming versions. Please let us know your thoughts and suggestions by emailing us at info@dojo-go.com.
We created this app because we love to travel and we love visiting other dojos. We have often wanted a convenient way to find dojos near where we were or in a country we might be planning to visit, and this is exactly what Dojo-Go has been designed to do.
The information in our database in collected from various on-line sources, including the sites of the dojos themselves and the submission forms within this app and at http://dojo-go.com. If you would like your gathering added to our database, or if you would like to edit information already there, please email us at data@dojo-go.com or visit http://dojo-go.com/submit/
