DJ Giovanni started his professional career in 2000 at DJs Unlimited Production as a disc jockey at private affairs. With a specialty for remixing various genres of music, DJ Giovanni spun disco, popular dance music, Latin music and top 40’s. As time grew so did his career in radio, in 2001 DJ Giovanni took a novel position working with WLIR 92.7 FM Long Island's leading modern rock dance track music station and at its sister station, WDRE Party 105.3, whose format includes TOP 40 remixes and Hip Hop. As a production crew member for all of its promotional events, DJ Giovanni set off the Mega Jam concert held at the Brookhaven Amphitheater which featured live performances O Town, The GoGo’s, and Ja Rule, just to name a few. After completing a few semesters at Nassau Community College and undergoing a life saving surgical procedure to not only save his hearing, DJ Giovanni won a lifelong battle with symptoms of Chlostomia which plagues the middle and, if left untreated, the inner ear. In 2003, DJ Giovanni worked with one of his mentors, DJ Sharad of “All Star Entertainment”. From that point on New York City could find DJ Giovanni spinning at the most illustrious nightclubs the New York club circuit had to offer, with venues such as Spirit, Avalon, Roxy, and the mother of clubs, Webster Hall -as a resident DJ for Thursday night's "Girls Night Out" to add to his name. Opening up for well established DJs in house music like Serge Devant, Johnny Vicious, and Tony Draper brought in a new wave of fans and professional recognition within the dance community. And so DJ Giovanni became a board operator at WBLI 106.1 FM Long Island's Top 40 format station and co-produced the Chris Cruz show that aired from 12 AM to 5AM Monday through Thursday in 2004. Subsequently, a grand tour of South America's Ecuador was in store for the rising star. DJ Giovanni intermittently spent the following five years addressing the Guayaquil press, placating reporters with interviews, performing in the nightclub circuit in La Playa de Salinas, hosting raves in the surf town of Montanita and hitting up the turntables at one of the most sophisticated night clubs in the second largest city in Ecuador. Having acquired his professional production portfolio in working with another leading figure in music, DJ Chris "the Greek" Panaghi, DJ Giovanni finally composed his creativity in several projects within production. Today, DJ Giovanni is the Assistant Promotional Director at WNYZ Pulse 87.7 FM New York's leading dance station. DJ Giovanni is Pulse's Live Event DJ and will be turning out every event that you'll find the Pulse Street Team hosting.
