This app is for unbiased stereology. This app estimates the volume, density and total number of objects from images - without you having to manually count every single slide or every single object.

This is app is for improving the quality of your research by quantifying your biomedical images.

You can use this product by importing images of slices (perhaps you cut them with a microtome) and a scale bar onto your iPad photo album. From there you will open the app Disector. After which you will trace the contours of your slices with your finger tips and tap a few objects in your region of interest. Then you are done. You have traced the volume of your region and estimated the density and total number of objects.

The user experience of Disector is a dream. You can trace your finger along the contour of images, tap to place Q-, long-press to delete Q- and pinch-to-zoom.

Supported image types include: TIFF, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, BMPf, ICO, CUR, and XBM
