The Diecast App is an informative app that brings you the latest news and content on diecast manufacturers and sellers from around the world. This app is designed for iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini and iTouch running iOS5+.
You are able to see the distance you are (in KM) from prominent diecast shops in the UK. The app includes locating all 46 ModelZone diecast retail chains throughout the UK. Further, you can see where they are on the map.

Two main diecast news feeds are incorporated to keep you up to date with diecast releases. One of the news feed keeps you up to date with the forum discussions (Leighs Diecast Forum) on the topics surrounding the diecast world. The other news feed is Leighs Diary. This feed has an inbuilt search facility. So you can look through the content for specific tags i.e. (McLaren, Ferrari, Redbull, etc…).
There are Twitter feeds of key manufacturers and sellers incorporated. LeighsDiary twitter feed has the addition of exploring the last 20 tweets. The Twitter section will enable you to interact and overcome questions you might have about diecast products.
There is a diecast collection section where you can view selective members diecast. You can also email, save and tweet pictures to anyone in world via this section.
The app includes a handy calculator so you can work out those prices on the go.
Browsing the news discussion links is inbuilt within the app. So you don’t have to open up safari every time you want to explore a web link.
There is a keep awake function on all versions (iPhone, iPad & iTouch). The toggle on the main page will refresh the news content and keep the app awake on the iPhone and iTouch version. However, on the iPad version the toggle only keeps it awake. To refresh on the iPad you have a very cool pull down to refresh feature. If your sound is on you will be greeted by a formula 1 engine sound.
The scrolling diecast updates is a live feed, which is not directly connected to any feed. This section is updated 365 days a year 24/7. The feed will automatically refresh itself every hour. However, you can refresh it yourself manually (iPad, pull down to refresh. iPhone / iTouch, turn the toggle switch on).
The app includes a radio feature. It is currently connected to KISS 100 (UK). To listen to the radio, you need to touch the formula 1 wheel. Further, stopping the radio from playing you will need to touch the formula 1 wheel again.
The AUTOart section includes the 2012 catalogue in pdf format.
