Designed by an endocrinologist, Diabetes Goal Tracker helps diabetics track goals relating to their diabetes care, including the results of blood and urine tests that should be completed on a regular basis. Medical examinations recommended by the American Diabetes Association, including eye exams, dental exams, foot care, and immunizations can also be tracked. You and your doctors will set goals for the results of the tests, and the timing of exams.

Whether a long-term or short-term interim goal, if you set goals you have a better chance of achieving your goals. Although your treatment plan is made in conjunction with your doctors and other healthcare professionals, you are the most important person when it comes to carrying out an individualized care plan. Education, setting goals, and having those goals in front of you, are important steps toward achieving those goals.

Diabetes Goal Tracker allows you to enter, update and track lab and other information as it changes or becomes available, view the latest information in the application on a Summary Screen; and periodically email yourself and print a formatted chart containing your goals and information. Putting your goals where you can see them - at your desk, next to your bed, or on your refrigerator, will act as a constant reminder of where you are, and where you want to be, helping you to achieve those goals.

Features of Diabetes Goal Tracker include:

- Diabetics get lab work done several time per year; the resulting volume of the information can become overwhelming. Diabetes Goal Tracker allows you to enter and keep track of your A1C, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Microalbumin, and if necessary, up to 4 other user-defined Labs or Vital Statistics. Every Lab result or Vital Statistic tracked will have an associated date; the latest information is shown on the Summary Screen along with your Current Goals, while the Detail Screens will have every Lab or Vital Statistic entered by date where you can view trends.

- Diabetes Goal Tracker allows you to enter and keep track of at least the following Vital Statistics: Blood Pressures, Waist size, Weight, and the application calculates a BMI for each weight entered. Tracking all of these are important components of your diabetes care.

- Diabetes Goal Tracker has optional 4-digit password protection, keeping your personal health information private from someone who may have access to your iPhone or iPod.

- Your health care professionals recommend how often you need to visit based on your individual situation. Diabetes Goal Tracker allows you to keep track of all of your Appointments, past and future, and to see whether it's time to make another appointment based on the date of your last appointment. It also shows the overall frequency of appointments in each exam category. Flu and Pneumonia shots can also be tracked.

- All of your appointments are shown on the Summary and Detail screens. Appointments are in green when within 7 days of the appointment and in red within 1 day or after the appointment. To avoid double entry, after an visit date passes, you can save that date to your Previous Visits with a single touch.

- You can track your health care professionals' names, practice specialties, locations and phone numbers in one place, and from an iPhone, call a health care professional with a few touches of the screen.

- You can type individualized Notes relating to each exam category with date headings.

- Diabetes Goal Tracker has Context-Sensitive Help on most entry screens to guide the user through the application.
