Daily Specials is the first app that gives you real-time updates on what your favorite restaurants are serving right now. Its exclusive feed displays new and limited-time dishes at the city’s best restaurants, giving you new reasons to revisit tried-and-true restaurants (or discover new ones) every day—morning, noon and night.

After speaking to countless chefs and restaurateurs, one thing is clear: It’s still very difficult for restaurants to connect with their loyal fans. Social-media feeds are dominated by useless chatter, inboxes are crammed with spam and many restaurant websites are unreadable on mobile devices. Daily Specials lets restaurants cut through the noise by broadcasting new offerings and other important news with their customers in real time. When you see a dish you like, you can use the app to quickly make a reservation or invite your friends out for a meal.

Daily Specials is not a deals app. Instead of 30%-off discounts and two-for-ones, Daily Specials entices you with fleeting dishes, seasonal ingredients and the spontaneous imaginations of the city’s most-talented chefs. Currently, all restaurants are in NYC, but we plan to expand to more cities soon.

1. Use the app to upload your daily menu specials each day for breakfast, brunch/lunch and dinner with descriptions and (optional) photos.
2. Send push-notification alerts to notify diners about last-minute openings, special events and other news in real time.
3. Manage your feed via the app or through a web-based management system, which will also allow you to send simultaneous updates to your Facebook and Twitter feeds.
4. Update your restaurant profile (address, phone number, website/menu, reservations) in real time.
5. All specials with photos will automatically be pushed to Foodspotting to reach its massive audience of eaters.
