*That game* provides a useful view to compare the stats of weapons and armor, unfortunately it only works inside the game. In the Auction House, where this service would be more important, no DPS differences are shown, forcing us to make calculations that often prove wrong. It’s very hard, in fact, to compare a weapon with, for example, less DPS but a better primary attribute (Int, Dex, Str) or more attack speed. As result we may buy an object that performs worse than our current one, and this means loosing a lot of real or virtual money.

Moreover, even within the game, you can not compare on the fly a two-handed weapon with a one-hand and a shield, you need to equip them to see the differences.
