Application Description
Ctp - ROPE is a Radiation Oncology Physics Essentials application. This first installment in the series explores temperature and pressure corrections commonly used in Oncology Physics. Atmospheric pressure is modeled as a function of elevation above sea level. Sea level pressure and airport temperature can be extracted from local METAR weather reports and used in conjunction with GPS elevation to generate a local atmospheric pressure. This pressure can then be applied in the standard temperature and pressure equation to generate a Ctp correction factor. Note: this application is intended for teaching purposes only and is not for clinical use.
