"CSphere" is a dynamic portfolio and demo app created by Jonathan Cousins and Nick Sears. Based in part on the portfolio content from the Cousins & Sears Creative Technologists website, this app also has a globe that visualizes various data about your iPad's location and the planet.

Time-of-day-accurate images from NASA used to create the surface of the globe are loaded each time the app is launched. These images make it possible to see current daytime (light) and nighttime (dark) areas of the earth. NASA images of cloud formations are also loaded upon launch and they provide time-of-day-accurate weather information. Be sure to fully close the app before relaunching (don't background it).

The iPad's position on the earth and its orientation in relation to the North Pole are also visualized on the globe. Users can circumnavigate the globe in a Great Circle using the accelerometer and GPS information by casting the iPad using both arms away from the body as if the iPad were a fishing pole.
