As all RC cars fans knows, only with a chronometer we can be sure if a setup change has been positive, but not always we have a mate that can timing our trainings.
crono.RCSetups.es turns your iPhone into a "hands free" stopwatch specifically designed for RC, with it you could take times of your personal heats even if you're alone on the track.
The system is quite simple and intuitive so you'll get used easily and will run it automatically. Also has the advantage of not needing to install any physical device in the car or the track. It uses the accelerometer of the device so you can mark the laps with movements or "shakes". The idea is to keep hands and arms free, so we recommend placing it into a pocket or in the leg with an ankle support or bracelet. You have to take a reference point on the track and every time the car passes, move the leg. In addition, disabling the "shakes" you can use it as a traditional stopwatch, but with the advantage of being designed for our hobby with specific features.
The application displays the fuel mileage, total time of the heat, the average, fastest lap and the time per lap. It has an alarm that warns you when refuel or battery change are needed. The heats can be stored on the phone and uploaded to our website, linked to the track and setup used for further analysis.
The "Lite" version is free and has all the "hands free" functionality, but can only save three heats on the phone and has advertising banners. The "Pro" version is free of adds, can store up to 9,999 heats and can also upload them to our website for sharing or just to store them.

- Added more info on the list of saved heats: track, date, time, setup and first words of the setup modifications.
- Changed the format of heats sheet to make it more comfortable and clear. Now you can see 14 laps at the same time.
- Added "pilot" field, case you take times of a mate.
- The data of "fuel mileage" is saved and can be uploaded to RCSetups.es
- The Lite version will save 3 heats instead of 1.
