The conventional old-fashioned method of counting calories is neither effective nor realistic. In fact, “only 9% of people in the USA can accurately estimate the number of calories they eat in a day…” according to a recent survey conducted for the International Food Information Council Foundation. How do you calculate the calories in a slice of pizza, a corn muffin and cappuccino you grabbed on your way to work, or the spaghetti and meatballs you had at your mom’s last Sunday? CountEat will help you do that by using a simple and accurate technique (research approved)

This method is based on a set of five categories for calorie count. All you need do is to select the appropriate category for the meal you just had:

Category 1 less than 200 kcal
Category 2 201-500
Category 3 501-800
Category 4 801-1200
Category 5 above 1200 kcal

After choosing the category CountEat calculates an average of your reported category (e.g., category 3: 500-800 Avg = 650 kcal) and updates your calorie consumption as the day progresses.
By the end of the day CountEat reports your total calorie intake.

It is as simple as that. You don't have to be precise and, most importantly, you don't need to worry.
It turns out that it is easier to determine the caloric range of a meal than the precise count !
