Cord Of Wood is an easy to use estimator that helps you judge whether you are getting the right amount of wood for your money.
Cord of Wood knows the the dimensions of a standard cord (i.e. 128 cubic ft) as well as half a cord, a third and a quarter of a cord.
Cord of Wood has FIVE distinct and powerful calculators:
1: Cord Size: Enter the dimensions of an average log, and Cord of Wood will show you how many you should expect to get in a cord. Great for checking if your supplier is delivering the correct amount of wood.
2: Delivery Size: Do you pick up your cord in your own truck? This calculator allows you to specify the size of your truck bed, and then shows you how deep to fill it to get your cord.
3: # of Cords: Whether you stack your wood in a big heap (cone shape), a rectangle or a cylinder, Cord of Wood will show you how many cords you have in your stack.
4. Energy from Fuel: You can now compare the heat (energy in BTUs) available from different types of wood. You can also see how much of other fuel types you would need to match this amount of energy. You can see how much coal, oil, propane, natural gas or electricity you would need to use to match the energy in your selected wood.
5: Cords from a Log: Are you about to cut up a tree? How many cords can you get from this tree? Cord of Wood will show you based on the size of each tree you're cutting.
6: Tree Height: About to cut a tree and you're not sure how far it will fall? All you do now is stand a known distance from the tree and point the phone at the top of the tree - Cord Of Wood does the rest! It calculates the approximate height of the tree automatically.
