Coil Calculator is used to perform the time consuming “looping” calculations needed to determine the length of wire/rope/cable which has been wound onto a spool/spindle/solenoid etc.
It is mainly intended for use in building electromagnets, but does have other applications.
Simply enter the dimensions of your wire, and the size of the spool/solenoid which the wire is wound on and Coil Calculator will tell you how many feet/meters of wire are used, as well as how many turns, vertical layers, horizontal layers, and Ohms will be in your coil!
