Application Description
The CoCar ridesharing App links the www.cocar.be web ridesharing solution to mobile users. Offer and find your ride on the go!
Functionality:
* Create a basic profile in the app.
* Offer/find rides from/to anywhere at any time.
* Google maps positioning offered to use your current location as a starting point
* Google maps search is the location search tool * Set your date/time, default selected date/time actual time + 20 minutes.
* Save the trip as recurrent ride if applicable
* Find matches directly, or get replies/matches after.
* If no matches are found, links to local taxi/public transport alternatives are offered.
* In App messaging system to confirm the ride in 3 steps: match found – request to join ride – confirmation.
* E-mail notifications to set email address(es), mainly to communicate with non-mobile CoCar participants (PC/web based only).
* Rating information on passed trips available.
* Use of iPhone/iPad camera to easily add profile and car-pictures.
