Application Description
CloudPasteboard is an universal application for iOS. It allows you to store various types of data from General pasteboard, and synchronizes them among your iOS devices via iCloud. I hope you enjoy this old but new Copy/Paste experience with CloudPasteboard.
Concept
Copy/Paste operation itself and the idea of clipboard (pasteboard) are very easy enough, but it could be improved the functionality and/or the experience on the assumption in case of working among multiple devices.
Features
* Data history up to 30
CloudPasteboard can store histories (max. 30) of Copy/Paste data. When exceeding to import a new Copy/Paste data, the oldest data would be deleted automatically. So you don't have to manage them. Of course, you can surely delete each imported items with 'Swipe to delete'.
* Various data types supported
Text, url, images, audio (WAV format = linear PCM 44.1KHz 16bits sampling monoral and stereo) and video. On ver. 1.2, it has been enhanced to support even more types; PDF, RTF, various audio formats (MP3, AIFF, AIFC, M4A, CAF, AU, etc).
* Synchronizing via iCloud
Imported Copy/Paste items will be synchronized soon via the iCloud service.
* Import at once
When activate the CloudPasteboard with app switching or something, it checks change in General pasteboard. If the change detected, CloudPasteboard shows you its content by default, and you can preview and can choose whether to import or not. [Import at once] is an setting (you can turn it on in settings) which to skip that content showing and immediately import the data.
* Upload at once
If you import copy/paste data from General pasteboard, they are stored in local by default. and you can choose whether upload or not to iCloud individually with long pressed the item then push [Upload to iCloud] button. [Upload at once] is an setting (you can turn it on in settings) which to skip that actions and immediately upload the data to iCloud.
* Combination of "Import at once" and "Upload at once"
If you turn on both of them, switching to CloudPasteboard app becomes just only action to store and to sync the copied data among your devices. For example, you can copy a meaning of a word within a dictionary app on your iPhone, then you just do fast switching to CloudPasteboard, that's all. Now you can reach the data on your iPad to write some reports or something.
* In-place preview and quick playback
Almost imported items can be previewed at in-place. Especially the audio would be seen with their waveform images and you can play them back with tapping the each of the quick playback button. On version 1.2 the video have been able to play back as well.
* Direct import from 'Photo Albums'(v1.2)
Images and movies have been able to import from 'Photo Albums' directly. Comparison with using Copy/Paste, the direct way can handle data without any loss or lacking of informations. For example, animated GIF can be import "as is" with this method.
* Triage function (v1.2)
You can colorize imported items individually at your own intent. The selectable 5 (except the "white" of default) colors are "red", "yellow", "green", "blue" and "purple".
* Visualized scrollbar (v1.2)
Visualized scrollbar allows you to confirm the position of an colored item according to the triage function. You can tap to jump there. Additionally it can swipe right and left to change that location.
* Open In support (v1.2)
"Open In"(Open item with other App) has been supported both (incoming and outgoing) ways. Anonymous item will be named according to the data-type. For example "content.txt" for text type.
* Custom scheme support (for advanced user and for experimental on v1.2)
cloudpb:// this custom scheme could be handled in CloudPasteboard. Currently the scheme invokes just to activate the App. However you could use combination with [Import at once] enabled.
