Clock Solitaire, also called Clock patience, is a solitaire card game with the cards laid out to represent the face of a clock. One deck with no jokers is used. Twelve piles of four cards each are laid out, face down like the hours of a clock. A final pile of 4 cards are placed in the middle of the clock.

Play starts when the top card of the center pile is turned over. Move the turned up card onto the pile of the corresponding hour (Ace = 1 o'clock, 2 = 2 o'clock on up to The Jack as 11 o'clock and the Queen as 12 o'clock). If a King is revealed it is placed on the center pile and the next card from the center is flipped over.

Play continues in this fashion and the game is won if all the 12 hours of the clock have been played before the 4 kings have come up. Sometimes you hit 4 kings before you've even played 25 cards, othertimes you will be on the 50th card so close to winning when that final 4th pesky king comes up and it's game over. The game is lost when all four Kings are revealed with piles around the clock face still left to be turned.
