CitiBlast is a location based app that lets you connect to the people around you wherever you are. It turns strangers into friends and plugs you into the immediate community no matter where you are – so say hello and start chatting! When you arrive at a destination, just search for the Beacon, log on, and reach out to the people all around you for answers, opinions, or just casual conversation.

See what your friends are up to in the community around you on the Social Feed.
Connect to the local CitiBlast beacon upon arrival and instantly gain access to users in the immediate vicinity. You can ask questions, get information or just chat. You can also start polls to gather opinions relevant to where you are right now.
Start or join a network of users based around similar interests. You like musical theatre? Join the “Musical Theatre” network. Next time you have a hankering to see a show, ask around for suggestions on what’s playing, what venues people like, and whether there are any deals going on. From hiking to eating, shopping to computer programming, CitiBlast networks allow you to create and join communities of users just like you.

The biggest update will be the Regions feature, allowing users to connect and chat across multiple beacons. Instead of being limited to your immediate location, users will be able to access each other across broader systems, such as college campuses, larger city areas, or restaurant chains whose beacons are all linked together into a Region.
The album feature will allow users to connect in a whole new way. Upload private albums to share with your friends or publicly post photos to the beacon you’re checked into! The choice is yours
