Application Description
Checkup for the iPhone and iPod Touch gives a quick overview of your device and runs some basic diagnostics that test the CPU, memory, GPS and accelerometer.
The CPU, memory and storage are checked using a variety of speed tests. The CPU is tested using null ops and square roots. Memory tests include memory copy and memory allocate. File write speed and file read speed test Storage.
The accelerometer can measure velocity in three different directions. These directions are X (left/right), Y (up/down) and Z (front/back). The accelerometer diagnostic can measure velocity for your iPhone/Touch. It also determines the orientation at the same time - portrait, landscape left, landscape right, face up/face down and upside down.
The GPS test will display your current latitude, longitude, altitude, speed and course heading. This is a convenient way to see your location for logging purposes or to determine accuracy against a dedicated GPS unit.
